WINTECH RACING NAMES BRENDAN CROTTY DIRECTOR OF SALES; JIM PICKENS, BOBAN RANKOVIC JOIN SALES TEAM

Norwalk, Ct. - Brendan M.Crotty has been named Director of Sales for WinTech Racing, a new position. Jim Pickens succeeds Crotty as Mid-Atlantic Sales Representative and Boban Rankovic is the new Sales Representative for Florida.
“Brendan Crotty’s new role and move to our home office in Norwalk, Ct., coupled with the addition of two new sales representatives is the result of our rapid growth in sales,” states Howard Winklevoss, WinTech Racing’s founder and chairman. “Crotty, who doubled our sales in the Mid-Atlantic region, also strengthened our reputation as a company dedicated to providing the best service in the industry. His vision for the future, commitment to service and dedication to the sport of rowing have energized our entire sales team. He is the epitome of leading by example and we look forward to another banner sales year under his leadership of Team WinTech.”
Like Crotty, and all WinTech Sales Representatives, Jim Pickens and Boban Rankovic are experienced oarsmen and coaches. Pickens has been rowing and sculling competitively since high school. At age 19, while rowing at the collegiate level at the University of Mary Washington, he began coaching Lake Braddock High School crew and continued to coach at the high school, masters and collegiate levels. He is based in Cary, NC where he and his wife Lauren own three WinTech shells and row out of the Raleigh Rowing Center. He is looking forward to providing the best equipment and service to the fast-growing Mid-Atlantic region.
The explosive growth of rowing in Florida makes that state the perfect fit for Boban Rankovic, who is well known as the Director of Rowing at the Miami Rowing Center. As a rower, he won gold at the World Championships and the New York State Championships, among many medal performances. Boban immigrated to the US from Serbia where he was member of the National Rowing Team and named Serbian Rower of the Year. He joined the crew program at Dowling College and after graduation became Head Women’s Rowing Coach and Assistant Athletic Director.
