USRowing and WinTech Racing announced this week that they have renewed their partnership for 2010. The US Women's National Team will receive a fleet of twenty four shells, delivered to the U23 training camp in May, with most of the shells headed directly to the senior camp after U23's. The National Team fleet will again be comprised of: two eights, four quad/fours, eight pair/doubles, and ten singles. A fleet of identical WinTech shells will then be available for the US crews in Brest, Belarus, the site of this year's U23 World Championships."
Our experience with USRowing has been great," said Brendan Crotty, WinTech Racing's President. "Terhaar and Kakela's women did a tremendous job using our equipment last year, from Ellen Tomek's single scull victory at FSO's right up to the silver medal winning women's eight at the U23 World Championships. We are very proud to be associated with that success."
WinTech Racing's partnership with USRowing also helps the general US rowing marketplace, as the National Team fleet will be made available in the spring of 2011. By selling boats that are only ten months old at deep discounts the rowing world will receive great boats at great prices. "We are almost sold out of the 2009 fleet, so it is working out very well for everyone, " said Crotty. "Those sales help keep everything well oiled over here and ensure that Tom and his crews will continue to receive the same first class shells and service in years to come."
