Graeme King Designs Superlight and Midweight 8+’s
September 9, 2011

Following up a successful production run of King Racing lightweight 8’s and a rapid allegiance to Graeme King’s original Quantum hull designs, the rowing marketplace will have an even larger range of King 8+ hulls to choose from when buying boats specific to their crew’s needs in 2011 and 2012.
Graeme King has designed the 60kg King 8+ specifically for high school women and lightweight collegiate women. Each King hull will come with universal airfoil wing riggers (that will also fit on any LW King 8+), Adidas shoes, King seat tops, King foot stretchers (that will also fit in King LW 8+’s), King’s signature integrated fin and rudder system, NK speakers and wiring harness, gold standard stainless steel fittings, gold standard durable plastics, adjustable seat risers, adjustable steering cable, and a seven year warranty to back it all up. The first boats are already coming off the production line and will be available for demos and purchase at the end of June 2011.
In addition to the SLW 8+ Graeme King has also brought back his mid-weight hull shape, coveted in the US since its debut under Quantum Racing Shells. This boat was designed specifically for large high school varsity men and average sized collegiate men’s programs. Each MW King 8+ will come with universal airfoil wing riggers (that will also fit on any of Graeme’s HW 8+ hull designs), Adidas shoes, King seat tops, King foot stretchers (that will also fit in King’s HW 8+ hulls), King’s signature integrated fin and rudder system, NK speakers and wiring harness, gold standard stainless steel fittings, gold standard durable plastics, and, again, a seven year warranty to back it all up. The MW King 8+ is currently in the US on a demo tour. Several boats have already been purchased. Look for the MW King on the Head of the Charles race course this October.
