King 8+ Scorches Competiton At NSW Head of the River
March 13, 2012

Surrounded by Kangaroos and Great White sharks in Saturday’s A final, Shore School’s 1st Eight, rowing a MW wing rigged King, scorched their competition at this year’s New South Wales Head of the River, Australia’s most prestigious schoolboy event. They dominated throughout the 2000m course with a 3.18 second margin over the next best crew.
In other news from down under, the King 8+ also had a successful week at the Australia National Championships. Melbourne GS rowed their King 8+ to a silver medal after winning their semi-final the previous day.
